Skin care changes as you age
Skin care changes as you age. What may have worked for you as a teen may not be covering your needs as an adult. Your
skin will change due to variances like environment, lifestyle and age. You need to make adjustments in your skin care in order to provide the best possible care for your skin.
Age changes.
Teenagers have many hormonal changes that make them especially susceptible to acne. Teens should cleanse, tone and moisture their skin based upon heir skin type twice a day. They should avoid picking at acne and
use products specifically made to fight acne instead.
People in their 20's may still be feeling the effects of the acne they had as a teen. They should follow the skin care routine based upon their
skin type two times a day. It is also important to remember to wear sunscreen and protect the skin from overexposure to the sun. They should also be thinking about how their lifestyle is effecting their skin and
make any necessary changes.
People in their 30's and 40's need to start getting regular facials in addition to daily skin care. They will need to be especially careful with skin around their eyes
and use special products made for aging skin. They still need to use sun protection, too.
People age 50 and beyond should stick with a regular skin care routine. They should make sure to exfoliate. They
should be careful still with the skin in the eye are and also in the neck. They will likely need to moisturize more.
